The truth is closer than you think...

Welcome to my world

TheY came from the stars. No one knew exactly where, but that much was certain. TheY didn't look like us. TheY had four eyes, six legs, and TheY moved in such a smooth fasion that their feet never seemed to touch the ground. TheY came to teach us. TheY knew so much that we seemed as infants in our knowledge compared to theirs. TheY set up schools. TheY were so beautiful that we couldn't pay attention to them for the longest time. But then we learned, for TheY were the greatest teachers we had ever met and probably will meet. TheY taught us to live, to love, to enjoy every moment of our lives. Their one problem was their lifespans. None of them ever lived more than 30 years. TheY taught us to play, and how to survive like children do. TheY taught us how to keep our planet going by itself, supporting us. We owed so much to them.

But we betrayed them at the first chance we got. When the Mercenaries of the Kantries came, they destroyed all we had built. We knew who would win, so we fought the beings that had made us who we were. We killed them all. TheY were beautiful, TheY were incredibly intelligent, TheY were wonderful teachers, but TheY couldn't change human nature. There were still those power hungry earthlings who would do anything for the winners. TheY changed most of us, but the hate of the Kantries converted us back to what we had been. We could no longer dream, or play, or wish and wonder in the manner of children. We had imprisoned ourselves by our decisions. Now, all we can do is wait. Wait, and hope that next time the aliens will stay, that if any disaster comes up, we will make the right choice and never turn against our saviours. But for now, hoping is all we can do.

Now about me...
I am 13 years old. I am Lioness_13. I love Alanis Morissette to the point that my friends think I am crazy and/or obsessed. I love the paranormal, and am fascinated with fantasy. As you can see above, I like to write stories. I also like to write poetry. I love to read, especially fantasy and sci/fi books. I like to surf the web. That is all I have to say.
